Dominion Bar + Kitchen is a space for people to come together, celebrate, and create unique experiences. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Assistant General Manager Jas Bains, has created a special cocktail that will tantalize the taste buds and set the mood for your special night!
Rosé French 75 (serves 2)
1 bottle of rosé bubbly
2 oz gin
Simple Syrup – equal parts sugar and hot water. 1 cup of white sugar 1 cup of boiling water, stir until clear
½ a lemon
2 peels of lemon for zest and garnish
A plain chocolate bar melted- dip your strawberry in the melted chocolate and place in the fridge
Utensils: Cocktail shaker, champagne flutes
Method: Add the following into a cocktail shaker tin
– 2 oz of gin
– 1 oz of fresh squeezed lemon juice (remember to peel 2 slices first, same as you would a potato)
– 1 oz of simple syrup
With the cocktail shaker, shake vigorously for 15 seconds (if using a glass, stir well for 20 seconds)
Strain the ingredients from the shaker tin into 2 champagne flutes
Top up the flutes with 6 oz of chilled, sparkling rosé
Use one piece of lemon peel to zest the rim of the flute. Do this by squeezing the lemon peel in half over the glass and lightly rub the lemon peel around the edge of the flute
Use the second piece of lemon peel as a decorative, spiral garnish. Do this by wrapping a thin slice of lemon peel around a straw or similar shaped item. Add the garnish to your drink
Take the chocolate covered strawberry and slice the bottom 1 inch, this will allow the strawberry to sit on the rim of the glass
The final step is to cheers, sip, and celebrate your love!!
Our team at Dominion Bar + Kitchen, wishes you and your loved one a happy Valentine’s Day. And yes, we are quite excited to become your new ‘date night’ location. Stay tuned as we continue to share exclusive drink and menu recipes as Dominion nears the grand opening at the end of March 2018.
